Chris Kirkpatrick Shares Update on *NSYNC Reunion (Exclusive) – Viral News

Chris Kirkpatrick is keeping hope alive for a future *NSYNC reunion.

The singer, 52, walked the carpet at the New York premiere of Deadpool & Wolverine at the David H. Koch Theater in NYC on Monday, where he spoke with ET’s Rachel Smith about where plans stand in regard to *NSYNC releasing new music and even potentially going on tour at some point.

“Well, we’ve been talking about it for a while,” Kirkpatrick said. “We’re kicking the tires, seeing if the car will still drive, and, you know, we’ll see where it leads.”

Kirkpatrick and his fellow bandmates — including Justin TimberlakeJC Chasez, Lance Bass and Joey Fatonereunited last year for a new original song on the soundtrack for Timberlake’s film, Trolls Band Together. This got fans clamoring for a reunion with renewed enthusiasm.

Then, in March, Timberlake was joined onstage by his former bandmates during a stop on his Forget the World Tour, and they collaborated on the track “Paradise” off his latest album, Everything I Thought It Was.

“Hopefully, you know, we’re all kind of in agreement that, moving forward, our fanbase and a lot of people, still want this,” Kirkpatrick continued. “So we can’t disappoint them. So it’s not a positive, but it’s a we’ll see.”

Recalling his on-stage reunion with the band earlier this year, Kirkpatrick shared, “I was smiling the whole time! I’m like, ‘I miss this so much!’ … Those guys are great.”

Kirkpartrick was one of several members of *NSYNC who came out for Monday’s premiere celebrating Deadpool & Wolverine — which actually features the band’s iconic hit, “Bye Bye Bye,” on the soundtrack.

“When we got the call, like, we sign off on a lot of stuff for the songs and it’s like, ‘Oh, sign off for this, sign off for this,’ I saw Deadpool and right away and I was like, ‘I will outvote everybody in this band! That this song will be in it,'” Kirkpatrick said.

“It didn’t matter what they were gonna vote! I outvote them anyways, I can kick all their asses,” he joked, adding, “But, of course, we did [want it in the movie].”

Deadpool & Wolverine hits theaters July 26.
